12 to 12:30 (EDT) – Info Session and Q&A (for kids and parents)
Learn how to improve your skills even while in quarantine, how to get seen by managers and agents, the difference between a manager and agent, how to make a good impression in an audition room or a manager/agent meeting, and what to expect if you want to work professionally as a child/teen actor. Hear what it's like from kids who are out there auditioning and working, and have all your questions about this crazy, daunting, exciting biz answered! 

12:30 to 1:15* – Acting Workshop for ages 13 to 18 (students will be e-mailed commercial copy to prepare and they also can do a 1-minute monologue if they would like)

1:30 to 2:15* – Acting Workshop for ages 7 to 12 (students will be e-mailed commercial copy to prepare and they also can do a 1-minute monologue if they would like)

Age 19 to 23 – Welcome to join. We will arrange your workshop time depending on demand. 

Info Session and Workshop – $45 per student (parents admission to Info and Q&A included)

*Times may adjust slightly based on enrollment. We want to ensure each student has one-on-one attention during the workshop. 

(Parents are kindly asked to attend the Info and Q&A session only. Older students will be required to exit the Zoom room once their workshop ends.)

Dave McKeown has been with Shirley Grant Management since 1998 and heads up the theatrical and on-camera division. In his 22 years as a manager for young and emerging artists in show business, Dave has represented and developed such talent as The Jonas Brothers, Kathleen Herles (original voice of Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer), Dascha Polanco (Orange is the New Black), Cameron Ocasio (Sam & Cat), Meg Donnelly (American Housewife), Devin Druid (13 Reasons Why), Tyler Alvarez (American Vandal), Alexa Swinton (Emergence), Jack Messina (Manifest), Alex Boniello and Michael Lee Brown (Dear Evan Hansen), among many others, including Westport’s own Jamie Mann (Country Comfort, upcoming on Netflix), Cameron Mann (For Life on ABC and Mare of Easttown, upcoming on HBO), and Natalia Mann (The Passage on Fox). McKeown’s clients are very busy working in many feature films, network television series, and on Broadway.
