A Conversation With Industry Professionals
This info and Q&A session offers parents a rare opportunity to ask questions, learn insider advice, and hear the real deal from an agent, manager, and casting director regarding children working in the entertainment business. Whether your child is just getting started or has already been working for while, this is a chance to ask everything you want to know: How do you start? What is an agent and how is what an agent does different from what a manager does? How can I help my child with audition prep? What happens when my child books a job?... All attendees will be provided with a resources handout about child performer laws, unions, and other vital industry information. We recommend that parents attend this workshop. Students who are rising 9th graders and older are welcome to attend with their parent(s) to listen, but questions will be limited to parent participants.
