Teen Acting Intensive – Summer 2019

Teen Acting Intensive (rising 7th – 10th graders)

Students will work scenes assigned to them, working through different stages of rehearsal, with emphasis on investigating the use of the self, what you’re “right” for, how to “stay with” yourself throughout the entirety of the scene. Learning that once you find your “own truth," you can begin to bring it into the “character." Through this process the students will learn to break down a scene organically, moving “beat to beat” through the given circumstances, know fully what it is for the event of the scene to occur “for real for real” and putting their own unique take on the role. On the final class we will have a sharing of scenes for family and friends.

This intensive will be taught by Brian Carter, a successful working actor.
