Triple Threat Academy's College Audition Prep Program
Triple Threat Academy's College Audition Prep Program serves those who would like support and assistance for any or all steps of the musical theater or acting college audition and application process: college list development, guidance on relevant extracurriculars and summer intensives, coaching/taping/editing of pre-screens, conceptualizing and editing wildcard videos and personality/personal statement videos, editing performance montages, live audition preparation, resume and headshot guidance, assistance/review of essays and supplemental questions (particularly for acting/musical theater department applications).
As each student's needs vary and each application process is unique, we find the fairest way to charge is by services rendered as per the fees below. There are many ways to prioritize and minimize costs to make this process more financially manageable, so please feel free to discuss any budget expectations or constraints with us before (ideally) or anytime during this process. We are here to help make this journey as smooth and stress-free as possible; we even bet there will be some fun, laughs, and a lot of personal and professional growth along the way!

Jamie Mann, Cynthia Gibb's student since age 8, is earning his BFA in Musical Theater from University of Michigan this spring and debuting on Broadway in Stranger Things: The First Shadow. On screen he stars in Country Comfort (Netflix) and played Tate on Days of Our Lives (Peacock). Jamie guest teaches and coaches for Triple Threat.
Our students have been admitted to many of the most respected performing arts programs in the nation: Carnegie Mellon (musical theater), University of Michigan (musical theater and acting), Syracuse University (musical theater), Pace University (musical theater), Elon (musical theater and acting), USC (musical theater), Chapman (screen acting), NYU Tisch (musical theater), Berklee School of Music, Oberlin College and Conservatory, and more. Our instructors are graduates of top performing arts schools, including Juilliard, University of Michigan, and Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

Cynthia's student Clay Singer graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a BFA in Musical Theater. He was in the Broadway national tour of The Band's Visit and has starred in numerous musicals and plays at top regional theaters, including the Westport Country Playhouse.

A Triple Threat student since age 8, Cameron is a freshman in University of Michigan's BFA Acting program. On screen, he plays Ryan Ross in Mare of Easttown opposite Kate Winslet and Julianne Nicholson, and he has enjoyed guest star roles on Daredevil, New Amsterdam, and Law & Order SVU. He is part of the star-studded cast in the upcoming A24/Ari Aster film Eddington and stars in the upcoming indie Greg's Going to Rehab.

Piper Clurman taped and coached with our NY team this fall and was offered a spot in the highly competitive Screen Acting BFA at Chapman University.

Cynthia's longtime student Jack Horan is heading to NYU Tisch this fall, in the BFA Musical Theatre program.

Services & Fees
Initial 20-minute Consultation: FREE
College List Consultation - to develop/review college list and general questions: $100/hr
Monologue/Vocal coaching with Cynthia Gibb: $150/hr
Monologue coaching with Keith Contreras-McDonald: $100/hr
Acting coaching/vocal coaching and dance lessons/choreography with Jamie Mann: $60/hr plus any studio rental fees
Generating an outline of the deadlines and materials needed for each school - student/family can do this or we can. Or we can review your outline for any oversights/errors: $75/hour
Meeting well ahead of pre-screen taping to ensure monologues and songs meet the requirements for genre/time limit so everything is taped correctly and coaching hours are efficient. Generate a list of tapes that need to be shot, time limits and framing for each, and slate requirements. Plus review supplemental videos needed, such as wildcards videos, personal statements, and unique slates: $75/hour
Taping of pre-screens: $75/hr with Jill in Westport, $150/hr with Cynthia in Westport or Dallas, $100/hr with Keith in Westport or NYC (plus any applicable studio rental fees)
Editing of pre-screen tapes so that each is cropped correctly, starts and ends at the best moment, and is labelled as per the school's labelling specifications. Our iMovie wiz has 14 years experience editing hundreds of professional and college auditions and will assure your pre-screens are edited with polish and precision: $75/hour
College essay and supplemental essay coaching/review with Jill: $100/hour
